Our commitment

Lux Glo by Jo is a one-person facial studio in Oxnard, California. Because it's just Jo, “we” and “us” on this page mean Jo and Lux Glo by Jo.

Everyone should be able to read about our treatments, see our prices and book a visit, however they see, hear, move or think. If anything on this website gets in your way, we want to know.

The standard we follow

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA. These guidelines come from the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). They explain how to make websites work well for people with disabilities.

We test the website before it goes live and again at least once a year. The dates at the top of this page show when we last did.

What we've done

• You can zoom in up to 400%, and the page still fits your screen without scrolling sideways.
• Text stands out clearly from its background.
• You can use the whole website with just a keyboard, and you can always see where you are on the page.
• Pages have clear headings, so screen reader users can jump straight to the part they want.
• Photos that share information have a text description.
• Links and buttons say what they do. Book buttons tell you they open Square's website.
• The contact form has clear labels, explains any mistakes in words, and never asks you to solve a puzzle.
• Animations switch off if your device is set to reduce motion.

We've tested the website with a keyboard, with zoom, and with two screen readers: VoiceOver on iPhone and NVDA on a Windows computer.

What we can't fix

Online booking on Square

Our Book now buttons take you to Square, the booking service Jo uses. Square runs those pages, so we can't change how they work. If they're hard for you to use, call or text Jo and she'll book you in herself.

Other websites

We link to Instagram, Facebook, Yelp and Google. Those companies run their own websites, and we don't control them.

If any part of this website doesn't work for you, please let Jo know. It helps if you tell her:

• what you were trying to do
• what device, browser or screen reader you use, if you know

Email luxglo@gmail.com, or call or text 805-744-5545. Jo will reply within 2 business days and get it fixed as soon as she can. Until then, she'll help you another way, like booking you by phone.

Browsers and devices

This website is made to work on phones, tablets and computers, in recent versions of Chrome, Safari, Edge and Firefox. It's built with HTML, CSS and a little JavaScript.

Changes to this page

We review this page at least once a year, and whenever the website changes in a big way. The dates at the top show when we last tested and reviewed it.
